报告主题:How Can Localized Assessments Activate Healthcare Data in a Big Picture: Research of Motor Impairment in Children in China
内容摘要:Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), also known as dyspraxia, is a neuropsychological disorder that occurs in 5-6% of children and usually continucs into adulthood. As a common condition in childhood impacting everyday motor performance, CD can negatively affect children's daily life, increase difficulties in attention, reading and writing, social interaction, and affect children's self-esteem and motivational development. In the talk, Vivienne will introduce the concepts of standardised psychological assessment in children, the importance to develop a localised standard in assessing child disabilities, and how her team developed the local diagnosis standards of DC in China. She will also talk about her recent work in developing and using a large populational dataset to investigate the risk factors of DCD.
