Academic Achievements

Federation of Social Sciences released the evaluation results of the application for the 2017 Hubei Provincial Social Science Foundation projects. 15 projects from ZUEL got approved, with a total grant of 455,000 RMB, which is the second-highest number of project approval in Hubei Province. The subject applied by Associate Professor Lu Yuanping from IIDPF, Digital Chasm or Information Welfare—The Impact of the Internet on Residents' Happiness, was approved (project number: 2017139). In 2017, a total of 902 application materials were accepted for Hubei Provincial Social Science Foundation projects, and 200 of them were approved after qualification review, expert review, public announcement, and validation by the Hubei Provincial Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences Development Planning. ZUEL applied 56 projects with 15 approved. The approval rate is 26.79%, 4.62% higher than the province's average 22.17%, ranking second in the province only after Central China Normal University.
