On 16 November, IIDPF convened a special meeting to study the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, aiming at in-depth study and implementation of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee and the spirit of the Plenary Session. The meeting was chaired by Professor Lu Yuanping, Executive Dean of IIDPF.
The meeting encouraged all IIDPF staff to fully understand the historical status and great significance of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee. The Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee was a crucial meeting held at a critical moment when we are decisively building a moderately prosperous society and starting a new journey of building a modern socialist country in all aspects. All staff should consciously adopt the spirit of the plenary session to unify their thinking, unite their strength and guide their practice. The meeting stressed the need to continue to organize all faculty members to carefully study the relevant materials of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee and the content of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech, and to make the in-depth study and implementation of the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee an important task for the current and future period.
At the meeting, Professor Lu Yuanping discussed the content of the Report of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (hereinafter referred to as the Communiqué) and the proposals for formulating the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) for National Economic and Social Development and the Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035 (hereinafter referred to as the Proposal), and explained the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee on "Income Distribution and Public Finance". Professor Lu focused on "digital development", " establishment of a public fiscal and financial system", "land grant income distribution mechanism", "primary distribution, redistribution and third distribution" and "social security and people's well-being" in the proposal. Professor Lu encouraged party members and staff to accurately understand and grasp the Party Central Committee's judgment on the general situation in the field of income distribution and finance, and to consciously combine the construction of finance disciplines and research priorities with the realistic development needs of China to serve the overall situation of national and economic and social development.
The participants have carefully studied the speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the conference documents such as the Report and the Proposal, focusing on the content of the Report and the Proposal on income distribution and finance, and have made active exchanges of speeches on the "domestic circulation", "supply-side structural reform", "fiscal and financial system" and "raising the income level of residents".
The participants agreed that all IIDPF members will continue to enhance the "Four Consciousnesses", strengthen the " Four matters of confidence" and achieve the "Two Upholds".
