On October 18, Dean Zhang Kezhong, Professor Sun Qunli and their party went to the Institute of Economic and Social Research (IESR) of Jinan University to investigate the experience of innovation base application and base operation. The entourages also included Dr. Sun Yukun, a faculty member of the School of Finance and Taxation, and Dr. Wan Xin of the Income Distribution Research Center.
Professor Feng Shuaizhang, President of IESR of Jinan University, extended a warm welcome to Dean Zhang Kezhong and his delegation. Firstly, Dean Zhang introduced the overview of the School of Finance and Taxation and the Income Distribution Research Center, as well as the progress and confusion of the current stage of innovation base application. The main purpose of the trip was to learn the successful experience of applying an innovation base. President Feng said that the successful application of the innovation base is inseparable from the strong support of the university, the radiating power of the applied project disciplines, the team construction and preliminary cooperation foundation with overseas experts, and the research plan and outlook of the base's later operation. During application, it is important to show your strengths and characteristics, be realistic, and let the expert judges understand the sustainability and reliability of the research base. The two sides also had an in-depth exchange on many aspects of the application process.
