The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and Technology jointly organised the evaluation of the new bases for the "Higher Education Academic Innovation Programme". The "Innovation Base for Income Distribution and Public Finance" declared by IIDPF of ZUEL has been officially approved and became a national research platform.

The Higher Education Academic Innovation Programme is a major initiative of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and Technology to implement the strategy of strengthening the country with talents and promoting independent innovation in higher education institutions. It is primarily based on the construction of disciplinary innovation bases, with the goal of targeting the frontiers of international disciplinary development. Based on the national key disciplines, a group of excellent scientific backbone from China and abroad will be allocated to form a high-level research team. China will build more than 100 world-class disciplinary innovation bases, strive to create scientific research achievements with international impact, and raise the overall level and international status of domestic higher education institutions.

In order to adapt to the rapid social changes, changes in the main social contradictions and profound adjustments in the external environment, IIDPF focuses on the local theoretical system of income distribution and public finance, and broadens its research horizon to the global level, considering how China can adapt, lead and even reshape the global fiscal rules and other major practical issues. We are committed to international collaboration to achieve cross-fertilisation of disciplinary directions and to develop innovative joint progress programmes. IIDPF is open to international academic standards and has established extensive cooperation and exchanges with universities in the field of income distribution in many countries, insisting on the "import" and "export" of academic and intellectual fields.

The Base is designed to focus on major national issues such as "public finance systems and income distribution", "global governance and income distribution" and "modern science and technology and income distribution". We strive to achieve ground-breaking results of international leading level in five years' time and build a top domestic and international high-end think tank in the field of income distribution.
