On the morning of June 29th, the signing and unveiling ceremony for Guangxi Sub-center of Institute of Income Distribution and Public Finance of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law was held in the Administration Building of Lake Xiangsi Campus, Guangxi University of Finance and Economics. Yang Canming, President of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law and President of the Institute of Income Distribution and Public Finance, and his party of four—secretary of the Party Committee Wei Chunbei and president Xia Fei of Guangxi University of Finance and Economics, director Li Kailin and deputy director Hu Deqi of Research Institute for Fiscal Science of Guangxi Department of Finance -- and heads of relevant departments of Guangxi University of Finance and Economics attended the event.
On the morning of that day, the two universities held a work exchange forum, including a signing and unveiling ceremony for the Guangxi Sub-Center of the Institute of Income Distribution and Public Finance, as well as a lecture on "Income Distribution and China's Public Financial System”.
At the work exchange forum between the two sides, Secretary Wei Chunbei welcomed the arrival of President Yang Canming and his party. President Xia Fei appreciated us for our strategic guidance and assistance to Guangxi University of Finance and Economics. President Yang Canming expressed his confidence and determination in the long-term cooperation between the two universities.
Later, Professor Sun Qunli, Vice President of the Institute of Income Distribution and Public Finance, signed a cooperation agreement with Professor Meng Qiang, Dean of the School of Finance and Public Administration of Guangxi University of Finance and Economics. Secretary Wei Chunbei and President Yang Canming jointly unveiled the Guangxi Sub-Center of the Institute of Income Distribution and Public Finance.
After the signing and unveiling ceremony, a special lecture was given. With the theme of "Income Distribution and China's Public Financial System", President Yang Canming made a vivid report on six major crises of "Currency Issuance Crisis", "Terrorism Crisis", "Protectionism Crisis", "Technicism Crisis", "Drug Proliferation Crisis" and "Aging Crisis", as well as their impacts on income distribution.
Thus far, the signing ceremony and related activities of the Guangxi Sub-Center of the Institute of Income Distribution and Public Finance, established by the Institute of Income Distribution and Public Finance of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in cooperation with Guangxi University of Finance and Economics, had been completed.
The establishment of the Institute of Income Distribution and Public Finance was based on the key disciplines, combining the advantages and characteristics of Hubei provincial key disciplines with Hubei Key Research Bases of Humanities and Social Sciences. We also built an academic innovation team specializing in income distribution research, aiming at constructing a research institute of income distribution and public finance and an innovative talent base with international standards and promoting the in-depth development of theoretical and practical research on income distribution in China. Guangxi Sub-Center of Institute of Income Distribution and Public Finance being listed in Guangxi University of Finance and Economics was a concrete measure to carry out the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech during his inspection of Guangxi and his important speech on scientific and technological innovation. It was also a significant part of the cooperation between the Institute of Income Distribution and Public Finance, Guangxi University of Finance and Economics and Guangxi Department of Finance.
