The lecture was hosted by the School of Public Finance and Taxation and Income Distribution Research Center of ZUEL. Prof. Aleksandar Cuckovic and Prof. Tomislav Sudarevi, both Associate Deans of the Faculty of Economics Subotica, Serbia, were invited to give presentations.
Prof. Aleksandar Cuckovic gave a presentation entitled BUSINESS ETHICS. In his presentation, Professor gave definitions of business ethics and several concepts related to the topic, which is necessary to study since business behavior cannot be judged simply in terms of good and bad. There are two main value orientations in business behavior: result-oriented and behavior-oriented. Different orientations will influence different business behavior.
Prof. Tomislav Sudarevi gave an overall introduction to marketing in his presentation MARKETING IN BUSINESS PRACTICE. He started with a neutral definition of marketing, then listed some of the problems encountered in marketing practice, such as how to deal with price wars, how to achieve differentiation and how to keep everyone in the organization dedicated to delivering value to customers, etc. He introduced some examples to further explain the problem, giving four steps to solving business problems: understanding customers, creating customer value, delivering customer value, and managing customer value.
After the lecture, the students asked to take pictures with the professors of the University of Novi Sad in Serbia. The atmosphere was relaxing and pleasant. This activity brought them closer to each other. The lecture is conducive to enriching students' campus life, expanding their horizons, and letting them experience foreign teaching styles and features. Moreover, it also provided more perspectives and materials for research. At last, the lecture was successfully concluded.
