On 28 September, the Fourth Summit Forum on the Construction and Evaluation of Chinese Think Tanks and the Launch of the Research Report on the Comprehensive Evaluation of Chinese Think Tanks AMI (2021), hosted by the China Academy of Social Science Evaluation Studies (CASSES), was held in Beijing. Nearly 100 experts and scholars from the National Office for Planning of Philosophy and Social Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, professional think tanks affiliated to ministries, local social science academies and administrative schools at provincial and municipal levels, think tanks of universities, think tanks of state-owned enterprises and social think tanks attended the conference. The "Reference Case of Chinese Think Tanks 2021" was launched at the conference. "Survey and Dynamic Monitoring of the Income and Wealth of Chinese Residents" submitted by IIDPF has been selected as a reference case for "Political Advocacy".

CASSES is a research institute directly under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, with the aim of furthering the innovation project of philosophical and social sciences, building an authoritative evaluation system for Chinese social sciences, occupying the research high ground of social science evaluation, leading the development of philosophical and social sciences in China, building an international academic exchange platform, participating in the formulation of global academic evaluation standards, and mastering the discourse of academic evaluation. Based on in-depth research on the construction and evaluation of think tanks, CASSES has independently developed the "AMI Indicator System for Comprehensive Evaluation of Think Tanks" and conducted a series of research and evaluation of global think tanks and Chinese think tanks using this system.

A total of 621 submissions were received from 454 think tanks across China. Among them, 56 cases were selected as featured cases and 63 cases were selected as reference cases. IIDPF has been conducting the "Survey on the Income and Wealth of Chinese Residents" for years, and has published a detailed report on the survey, which provides scientific and intellectual support for the study of the situation, risk prevention and policy formulation. The selection of this case reflects IIDPF's research philosophy of "following the laws of research development, basing on practices with Chinese characteristics and looking at global governance" and the distinctive feature of "studying income distribution issues from the perspective of fiscal redistribution", giving full play to our role as a university think tank.
