"A better life for the people, with more obvious and substantial progress in all-round human development and common prosperity for all people" is one of the visionary goals for 2035 first put forward at the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee. In the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, it will have important implications for the reform of China's income distribution system and the adjustment of income distribution patterns, as well as for related theoretical and policy research.
To actively promote research on income and wealth distribution in China in this new era and to facilitate exchanges among scholars, the Economic Research Journal, the School of Economics of Shandong University, the Institute of Sharing and Development of Zhejiang University, the School of Labour and Human Resources and the Common Wealth Research Institute of Renmin University of China, the School of Public Finance and Taxation of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law and IIDFP are jointly launching the "China Forum on Income and Wealth Distribution" in 2021. This forum was formerly known as the "Academic Symposium on Income and Wealth Distribution in China" co-organised by the China Income Distribution Research Centre of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law and the Economic Research Journal since 2017. The Forum is planned to be held annually, aiming to collect outstanding academic results in the field of income and wealth distribution research, invite renowned scholars to give academic presentations, and invite young scholars who are active in the forefront of research in this discipline to serve as reviewers of selected papers, so as to create a high-end academic exchange platform. The China Forum on Income and Wealth Distribution (2022) will be jointly organised by the School of Labour and Human Resources of Renmin University of China and the Common Wealth Institute on 23 April 2022. Papers are now invited from all colleagues.
I. Call for Papers
Papers should be original, unpublished academic papers on important issues of income and wealth distribution in China. Please refer to the published articles in Economic Research for the Chinese style and American Economic Review for the English style. To facilitate anonymous review and contact, please provide two versions of the call for papers with and without author information (name, workplace, postal address, contact telephone number, email address, etc.).
Please send your essay electronically by 23 March 2022 to CHIWIF2022@163.com. The subject of the email should be "IDPF2022 + first author's name" and the title of the paper should be "Name + Paper Title".
II. Review of Papers
An invitation letter will be sent to the first author of the selected papers by 10 April 2022 (non-first authors may also attend the Forum upon application and with the consent of the organisers). The paper review committee will anonymously select the outstanding papers from the selected papers, taking into account the expert reviews at the forum. Outstanding papers may enter the journal's anonymous review process after they have been approved by the Editorial Board of Economic Research Journal.
