The National Office of Philosophy and Social Science released the "Announcement of the List of Major Projects of the National Social Science Foundation for the Study and Interpretation of the Spirit of the 20th Party Congress" on May 17, and Professor Zhang Kezhong, Dean of the School of Public Finance and Taxation, as the chief expert, was awarded a major project for the Study on Regulating the Order of Income Distribution and the Mechanism of Wealth Accumulation.
Professor Zhang Kezhong is the Dean of the School of Public Finance and Taxation at ZUEL, a Wenlan Distinguished Professor and PhD supervisor, and Vice Director of IIDPF under the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Science and Technology. Professor Zhang is an executive director of the Chinese Association of Finance, an executive director of the Chinese Society of Development Economics, an executive director and founding member of the Chinese Association of Labour Economics, an expert in performance evaluation of the Hubei Provincial Department of Finance, a member of the expert committee of the Hubei Provincial Department of Civil Affairs, a member of the expert committee of the Hubei Provincial Poverty Alleviation Office, and a vice president of the Wuhan Association of Finance. He was a visiting scholar at Harvard Business School and Georgia State University. His main research areas are fiscal theory, income distribution and economic development, and global public economics. He has published more than 60 papers in domestic and international academic journals such as Economic Research Journal, Management World, China Economic Quarterly, The Journal of World Economy, China Industrial Economics, Journal of Financial Research, Applied Economics, Economics & Human Biology, etc. He has led and participated in a number of National Natural Science and Social Science Foundation projects.
