Recently, the list of winners of the 9th Award for Outstanding Achievements in Scientific Research in Higher Education (Humanities and Social Sciences) by the Ministry of Education was announced. Prof. Yang Canming, Director of IIDPF, won the second prize of the 9th Award for Outstanding Achievements in Scientific Research in Higher Education (Humanities and Social Sciences) for his work "China's Century of Practical Exploration and Theoretical Innovation in Eliminating Rural Poverty".

The Outstanding Achievement Award for Scientific Research in Colleges and Universities (Humanities and Social Sciences) is an important part of the "Prosperity Plan for University Philosophy and Social Sciences". This award aims to encourage researchers to uphold rigorous scholarship, embrace innovation, and produce high-quality work, thereby promoting the flourishing development of philosophy and social sciences in higher education. This award is given every three years and has been presented for nine times since 1995. It has always been the most credible and influential award in the field of philosophy and social sciences in China.
