(Correspondent: Gao Yifei) In a bid to promote the continuous high-level construction and high-quality development of university think tanks, the China Think Tank Research and Evaluation Center at Nanjing University released the List of Best Practices in Think Tank Construction and Outstanding Achievements in Think Tank Research, unveiling the CTTI 2024 Best Practices in Think Tank Construction and Outstanding Achievements in Think Tank Research. The project titled “Dynamic Survey on Income Distribution and Common Prosperity for Think Tank Construction” from the Center for International Cooperation and Disciplinary Innovation of Income Distribution and Public Finance at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL) won the title of “CTTI 2024 Outstanding Case in Think Tank Construction.” Additionally, two other achievements, “On Risk Culture and Risk Finance” and “Promoting a Healthy Cycle in Hubei’s Finance and Real Estate,” have both received the “Second Prize for CTTI 2024 Outstanding Achievements in Think Tank Research.”
The China Think Tank Index (CTTI) is a think tank system for vertical search, data management, and online evaluation, jointly developed and promoted by Nanjing University and Guangming Daily. Leveraging China’s institutional advantages and independent innovation that highlights Chinese discourse, the CTTI enjoys independent intellectual property in areas such as design philosophy, functional layout, data collection mechanisms, and evaluation mechanisms. The CTTI “Best Practices in Think Tank Construction” and “Outstanding Achievements in Think Tank Research” awards are presented annually, marking an important recognition of influence and social contribution within the Chinese think tank field. For the 2024 awards, a total of 306 construction cases were submitted from 306 institutions, along with 782 research achievements from 533 institutions. Following a rigorous preliminary review and a detailed final evaluation by an expert committee, 159 cases were selected for the list of Best Practices in Think Tank Construction, while 451 achievements were included in the list of Outstanding Achievements in Think Tank Research.
The accolades received by the Center for International Cooperation and Disciplinary Innovation of Income Distribution and Public Finance at ZUEL—including the 2024 Outstanding Case in Think Tank Construction and the Outstanding Achievements in Think Tank Research—underscore the remarkable progress the Center has made in recent years and its growing recognition within the industry. The Center will continue to uphold its research philosophy of “following the law of research and development, being based on the practice with Chinese characteristics, and embracing a vision of global governance.” It will focus on five key areas including “national governance and modern finance,” “modern finance and income distribution,” and “global governance and income distribution.” By leveraging income distribution as a focal point, the Center aims to address significant national needs and contribute to regional economic and social development. The goal is to enhance the role of university think tanks and establish itself as a premier research institution known for both academic excellence and first-class think tanks.
