On December 26, the National Office for Philosophy and Social Sciences released the List of Major Special Projects of the National Social Science Fund of China to study and interpret the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. Professor Lu Yuanping, Executive Director of the Center for International Cooperation and Disciplinary Innovation of Income Distribution and Public Finance (111 Center) serving as the chief expert for the topic named Research on Improving the Theoretical Establishment of Income Distribution and Optimising the System, initiated the major special project of the National Social Science Fund of China to study and interpret the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee.

Lu Yuanping, Doctor of Management, is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Applied Economics, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Public Finance and Taxation at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and Vice Minister of Scientific Research Department. He is the Candidate of Young Top-notch Talent of the National Talent Program, Young Top-notch Talent in Hubei Province, and Young Scholar of the "Wenlan Scholar Program". He also serves as the Member of the Academic Committee of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Executive Director of China Association of Labor Economics and Hubei Population Association, an expert in the Social Security Talent Pool of the Ministry of Finance, and a distinguished research fellow of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee - Hubei International Talent Exchange and Legal Service Center. In addition, he is concurrently the Executive Director of the Center for International Cooperation and Disciplinary Innovation of Income Distribution and Public Finance of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China, and the Executive Director of the Research Center of Hubei Finance and Development. His research fields include income distribution, social security, fiscal and taxation theory and policy, happiness economics, etc. He has presided over 20 national, provincial and ministerial projects including the sub-projects of major national social science projects, the General Program and Youth Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Humanities and Social Sciences Fund Project of the Ministry of Education, and Ministry-Provincial Cooperation Project of the Ministry of Finance. He has published more than 40 papers in SSCI/CSSCI. His research results have been published in journals such as Economic Research Journal, Journal of Management World, China Economic Quarterly, Journal of Financial Research, Chinese Rural Economy, Finance & Trade Economics, Economic Perspectives, Cities, Journal of Happiness Studies, China & World Economy and The Social Science Journal. He is an anonymous reviewer for journals such as Economic Research Journal, Journal of Management World, China Economic Quarterly, China Industrial Economics, Journal of Financial Research, Finance & Trade Economics, Journal of Happiness Studies, and China Economic Review, and a communication review expert of the National Social Science Fund of China.
