At the commencement of the conference, Professor Lu Yuanping reported that the Center had successfully completed the acceptance evaluation for the initial five-year development cycle. He stated that this accomplishment establishes a robust foundation for the Center's high-quality progress in the next stage.

Subsequently, Associate Professor Liu Erpeng, Deputy Director of the Center, presented a comprehensive report on the Center's "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan" development strategy. He elaborated on the development concepts for the "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan" period, addressing aspects such as foundational development, overarching goals, critical tasks, and implementation strategies, all adapted to the Center's specific conditions. During the summary phase of the conference, Professor Yang Canming highly praised the Center for successfully passing the acceptance evaluation, as well as the collective efforts of all colleagues. He emphasized that 2025 is a critical year for initiating the "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan" framework, and the Center is in a strategic window to pursue high-quality development. Addressing the key tasks for the next stage, he proposed three requirements:

Firstly, we should intensify international exchanges and collaborations. While continuously introducing overseas high-end intellectual resources, we should actively support the Center's teachers to "go global" and continuously enhance the Center's international influence by participating in international academic conferences, conducting overseas academic visits, and jointly tackling scientific research.

The second is to strengthen domestic coordination and linkage. We should focus on the country's major strategic needs, strengthen cooperation with universities, research institutes and government departments, create distinctive academic brands and characteristic achievements, and better serve the overall national development.

The third is to expand database development and influence. We should focus on data quality, update timeliness and sharing mechanism, actively connect with the needs of academia and policy departments, and effectively improve database utilization and industry recognition.

Professor Yang Canming finally said that the development of the Center must be closely linked to national strategic needs. During the "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan" period, we must further clarify the main direction, calm down to do high-quality academic research, and truly integrate academic pursuits into the practice of serving economic and social development. We should leverage the disciplinary strengths and longstanding expertise of the Center, concentrate on pivotal topics in the domains of income distribution and modern public finance, enhance organized scientific research efforts, aim to produce a series of landmark achievements characterized by theoretical depth, robust data, and widespread impact, and actively establish a distinctive brand recognized for its academic influence and Center-specific identity.
