The Unveiling Ceremony for the Xinjiang University of Finance & Economics Branch of the 111 Center Is Grandly Held

On the morning of December 8, the Unveiling Ceremony for the Xinjiang University of Finance & Economics Branch of the Center for International Cooperation and Disciplinary Innovation of Income Distribution and Public Finance (111 Center) of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law was grandly held in the Jinxiu Hall of the Academic Exchange Center at Xinjiang University of Finance & Economics. The ceremony was chaired by Zhou Mingshan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Xinjiang University of Finance & Economics. Attendees included Yang Canming, former President of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law and Director of the 111 Center, and Ma Yuan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Xinjiang University of Finance & Economics, as well as other leaders and guests from both universities. Representatives of faculty and students from colleges of Xinjiang University of Finance & Economics also participated.

The ceremony commenced in a dignified and enthusiastic atmosphere. Mr. Ma Yuan made the opening address. He emphasized that the establishment of this branch represented a significant initiative for both universities to deepen strategic cooperation, promote academic resource sharing, and advance collaborative talent cultivation. Mr. Ma added that this would strongly support the "connotation-oriented development" of the finance and taxation discipline at Xinjiang University of Finance & Economics and provide robust intellectual support for Xinjiang's high-quality economic and social development.

Subsequently, Mr. Yang Canming delivered a speech. He highlighted that income distribution was fundamental to people's livelihood and a crucial pillar for achieving common prosperity. The branch will closely integrate into Xinjiang's development practices, leveraging disciplinary innovation to empower coordinated development in the region. By focusing on three key tasks—interdisciplinary research, cultivation of versatile talent, and transformation and application of research outcomes, this organization will strive to become a vital bridge for cooperation between universities and local governments and integration between industries and universities.

Amid enthusiastic applause, Mr. Yang Canming and Mr. Ma Yuan jointly unveiled the plaque for the Xinjiang University of Finance & Economics Branch of the 111 Center. The ceremony concluded with an onstage group photo of relevant leaders and guests from both universities.

Following the unveiling ceremony, Mr. Yang delivered a lecture titled "Reflections on Stimulating Consumption," presenting a wonderful academic feast for teachers and students in attendance.

The establishment of this branch signifies a new phase in collaborative efforts between the two institutions in the realms of public finance and income distribution. Both parties will engage in comprehensive and in-depth cooperation on areas such as jointly establishing research platforms, promoting scientific research, nurturing talent, launching think tank services, and developing and sharing database resources. Their shared goal is to foster a new model of targeted support and collaboration characterized by shared resources, complementary strengths, and mutual benefits, thereby contributing educational wisdom and strength to composing the Xinjiang chapter of Chinese-style modernization.
